This is a new venture by Mathematical Services - the provision of leaflets.
These leaflets (and a booklet in one case) are a scholarly investigation and succint explanation into the origin of places.

This booklet is an account of the origin of Birkenshaw, West Yorkshire, UK (where I live). There is not much controversy as to the meaning of the name of this place, yet its early origins and development are more intriguing.
